Join the Premier at The Cru - 18/05/17
Join Remi Edange, Director of Domaine de Chevalier, for a tasting of his family’s famed red and white Pessac-Leognans from the Graves. The City has always been partial to a drop from The Graves – Samuel Pepys waxed lyrical about the region back in 1663 when he drank them round the corner at a hostellerie in Abchurch Lane and spoke of “a good and most particular wine” from one of Chevalier’s venerable neighbours “Ho Bryan”.
Among the wines you will taste at The Don on May 18 is the Chevalier Rouge Grand Cru Classé 1996 which Jancis said had a “wonderful core of fruit” and the Chateau Giraud Premier Cru Classé 1997, a luscious white that Wine Spectator awarded 93 points.
We are limited to just 20 guests at this very special tasting, which begins at 7pm, so book your place now. Cost is £195 per head to include all wines and our new Executive Chef Frederick Forster’s menu.
Tickets, at £195 per person, include all wines, five course dinner, water, coffee, VAT and service. Book your place by calling 020 7626 2606 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The event will take place at the Don Restaurant.
